![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I REMEMBER those nights, those feelings of meeting someone new and connecting with them in college and then seeing where things went. I honestly felt like I was just a fly on the wall (or on the porch post in their case) as they flirted and played games to learn more about each other, both trying to not come across as overeager to see the other. This just goes to show how amazing Sara Ney is at writing characters, their dialogue and moving along a beautiful story of falling in love. There’s no excessive drama, really no secondary characters and you don’t read about anything else going on in their lives between the Friday nights that they meet up.ĭespite all that, I didn’t feel like I was missing a thing or that this story was lacking or that it was just instalove. It’s SIMPLE (and I mean that in the best possible way) in that you are along for the ride in “watching” how Scarlett and Rowdy meet, connect and fall for one another over a period of weeks. I really liked this book because it was unlike so many romance books.
